@trunksapp I've never had an issue signing in before. It's supposedly mastodon client compatible. Not sure just wondered.

So... the last blogpost for #keybase was in 2020 when Zoom acquired them. I know there were some app updates after that, but that also seemed to have dried up. Is it safe to assume that keybase is dead and move on? Can I self-host their encrypted git stuff by chance?

@olly That's totally fair and I don't disagree, especially since you need to plug both displays into your computer anyway with this setup. I'm a big e-ink fan so I love the concept, maybe some OEM will make a clip on display for us.

@isagalaev @andrew It uses both GPS data and the signs, except it doesn't "read" the lettering on the signs, it uses a classifier to classify the different signs. So you can get some weird behavior.

I'm getting a lot of people seemingly arguing with me while agreeing with me, and I can't quite figure this out.
My point was basically that "this is really complicated and I'm not confident we're doing this right or, honestly, can do it equitably at all" and some folks are pushing back at this by saying the system's bad.
