wow I forgot how bad the linux reply guy problem is here
I say this as someone who has been known to be a certified reply***
***is there a gender inclusive insult for reply guy? non binary people can def be just as obnoxious in their reply habits
@liaizon *sigh* so bad. Scrolled back through your replies and I see what you mean. Telling someone to “Just” install a different OS or setup containers / VMs isn’t a useful answer to your question/ comment.
@olly it isn't helpful for anyone. let alone someone who has lost count of how many different OSs I have installed. I litterally have like 10 different computers with different versions of linux on them!
"why don't you just... do this thing I know really well cause I have been studying it for years its so easy"
maybe because its only easy cause you have been studying it for years ffs
@liaizon just refreshing my memory on what “reply guy” is supposed to mean, and apparently it is very gendered as the term is meant to encompass presumptive sexually charged replies especially towards women
@liaizon
>>> “Reply Guy Constitution,” an excerpt of which humorously summarizes the reply guy mentality:
For the good of the Internet and the preservation of Male Excellence, We shall weigh in on women’s thoughts at every possible opportunity. Never shall We leave a comedian’s jokes un-improved or a female’s observations un-corrected. Eternally shall We pipe in.
