From Mastodon, the above post is visible to my followers, but mangled. The text is missing, except for the link to Jupiter's post. And depending which app I use to see the post the subject line is sometimes being treated as a content warning and sometimes not.
I think I'm of the opinion that Groups/Forums are very much a work in progress and probably need some actual collaboration between different platforms (Friendica/Mastodon etc) to work the way users might expect.
I haven't even covered Lemmy groups. If you've ever had a Lemmy post boosted into your timeline, that's hilariously broken. All you see is the subject and a link. Click on the link and it takes you to the same post, with the same subject and a link, which if you click on it takes you back to the same post. It's a circular link and totally useless - you have no idea what the post was about or any clue to go and actually find it on Lemmy if you wanted to.

I'd guess the mangling has more to do with Mastodon not trying to render the "Article" type yet than it being from a group. Mastodon has the same problem with reviews from Bookwyrm and blog posts from WriteFreely.
I mean, at least it shows the title and link, which is better than the "this type isn't supported yet" from Takahe, but with the size of its user base, Mastodon *really* needs to get on just treating an Article the same way it treats a long Note!
@KelsonV @metalsamurai @fediversenews There seem to be a lot of odd incompatibilities between Mastodon and Lemmy, looking at the GitHub issues for each of them.
And then a lot of finger pointing saying it’s the other team’s problem and not a lot of actual communication or working towards a solution.
